Business Matters - Creating a Brochure

Designing your salon brochure

Brochures or treatment menus as they are now called should reflect the image you want to portray for the business. They are providing a first impression to potential new clients and they could be the catalyst in the client booking a treatment with you.

Before designing your brochure carry out some market research and collect as many brochures and price lists from other businesses, as you can. Many salons and spas nationally and internationally have their treatment lists available on line so check these out. Alternatively you can use a professional designer to do the work for you, the drawback is that this may prove quite expensive but it may be worth the investment if the finished result encourages people to respond.

You will need to include the following:

  • Name
  • Address
  • Telephone number
  • E mail
  • Web site
  • Membership of professional associations
  • Visuals to illustrate treatments and products
  • List of treatments under relevant headings
  • Brief description of treatments
  • Special packages
  • Opening times
  • Terms and conditions
