MakeupBlusher
Blusher is used to add warmth and definition to the face and it comes in several different forms:
Powder This comes in many different shades providing more choice. Powder blushers are similar in texture to pressed face powder and you can choose from either a matte texture or a frosted finish with a hint of sparkle
Gel which is easy to apply, it has good staying power and looks natural and transparent on the skin. However there are usually less shades to choose from than with powder
Cream is ideal for the drier skin type, it is also easy to apply but needs to be set with face powder to make it last and does not come in as many shades as powder blusher
Liquid blusher or skin tint that ‘stains' the skin is good on an oily skin but may look uneven on a dry skin if not well moisturised first
The type of blusher you choose will depend on:
Your colour choice may depend on the finished look you are hoping to achieve, this may be to achieve a natural glow, to provide definition in certain areas, to make a fashion statement or to help disguise your face shape. Lighter complexions will suit any shade of pink, darker skin tones will look best with the deeper pinks in berry and plum shades. In general make sure the shade of blusher complements the shade of lipstick, for instance don't use a plum shade of blusher with an orange toned lipstick.
